Michigan USSSA Team Classification Description

RULE 3.04
Each State Director will adopt an acceptable method to classify teams. Each State
Director has sole authority to classify teams within their respective state. A State
Director has the authority to classify and/or reclassify any team during the current
season, except when the USSSA Baseball National Committee has assigned a
classification to the team

Major Division: The top teams in the state

AAA Division: Middle of the "pack" teams

AA Division: Teams that have restricted rosters, drafted players or play at the
recreational level and are all from within the state.

When playing in any USSSA qualifying tournament, you are not allowed to have
players from outside your league on your tournament roster.  At the State
Tournament you may add up to 3 players from your league to your roster.  A player
must have played at least 4 league games to be considered an official member of
that league.

In all case, these teams can consist of a single-age group or of a multiple age group
playing at the level of the oldest player.
